Dobroplast joins the Swiss based AFG Group

On 21 February 2013, Dobroplast became part of  AFG Arbonia-Forster-Holding AG, headquartered in Arbon, Switzerland. The conditional purchase contract was signed on 6 November 2012, and following the required approval from the UOKiK competition protection authority, the transaction was finalized on 21 February 2013.

Through the transaction, Dobroplast is winning a strategic investor and obtaining access to high-end technology know how and international distribution network. Though the acquisition of Dobroplast, AFG advances to No 3 among the largest European window and door producers.

Founded in 1874, AFG is a technologically leading construction supplier group, active internationally. Window and door manufacturing is one of the company’s key areas of activity, and AFG has many years of experience in this industry. AFG is also active in such areas as Heating Technology and Sanitary Equipment, Kitchens, Steel Technology, and Surface Technology. The company operates in over 70 countries worldwide, employing approx. 5700 people.
